Myofascial release has been used effectively for:
Ideally, the fascia is relaxed and has the ability to stretch and glide without restriction. Things interfere with this amazing system. Trauma such as a fall, whiplash, surgery or repetitive stress, can cause scarring or inflammation in the fascia and it loses it's ability to stretch and glide. It becomes tight, restricted and a source of tension to the rest of the body. Next comes pain or limitations in movement - sometimes at the site of the restriction, sometimes elsewhere in the body.
